Publicase is a science communication company specialized in scientific papers in the biological and biomedical fields. The company was created by me in 2007.  I'm a former molecular biologist and the founder and current CEO of Publicase. At Publicase we edit papers, do translations, and give workshops on science writing and publishing. In our workshops, we apply a method we’ve developed in-house that is very straightforward and makes writing a paper an objective and step-by-step process that greatly increases its efficiency. Once you’ve learned our method, then writing a paper will never again be a daunting task!

Let me tell you a little more about me: I have a PhD in molecular biology done in a collaboration program at the Kennedy Krieger Institute at the Johns Hopkins University, a 2-year post-doc training done at the National Cancer Institute (NIH), and I held a position as a science editor at Science/AAAS for 3 years. I have large professional experience as a science editor, writer and translator. Besides helping authors produce their research papers, I have also authored news pieces published in The Lancet, The Lancet Infectious Disease, Science, Cell, The Scientist, and The Lancet Oncology. I live in Lisbon with my family, two dogs, Bidu and Freddie, and Pisco the cat!
